Fizzling Action und "Zephyr"

Folgendes ergab sich letzten Abend in Heidelberg:

Ellen Fence uses her special to attempt to enter combat with a tapped vampire.
The tapped vampire untaps (because his Methuselah burns an "Underbridge Stray" he controls ^^).
No block.
Action "fizzles" because there is no legal target for the action.

So weit, so dumm gelaufen bzw. cool gespielt ...

Nun stellte sich die Frage:

Is this action successful, unsuccessful, or does it just end?

Answer (by Regelguru Pascal Bertrand):
The action is successful, since it was neither blocked nor was there card text saying the action ended unsuccessfully.
The action still "fizzles" since there was no legal target.

So, Ellen Fence could NOT have played "Zephyr" (to untap after an unsuccessful action), since the action was successful.

Was ist den das für ne Logik?
Also alle Aktionen die nicht geblockt werden oder durch Kartentext failen sind erfolgreiche Aktionen?
Was wenn ich eine Aktion nehme die mehr Blut kostet als ich habe, die fizzled dann auch, war die Aktion dann
erfolgreich? (Für z.b Perfectionist?)

Ich bin verwirrt.

Diese Logik beruht auf einer exakten Auslegung des Regelbuches:

6.2.3. Resolve the Action

If the action is successful (all block attempts were unsuccessful), then the cost of the action is paid and the effects of the successful action take place. [...]

Soweit ich sehe, gibt es keine weiteren Definitionen dazu, wann eine Action successful ist.. ausser eben, wie von Pascal angemerkt, Card Text.

Was wenn ich eine Aktion nehme die mehr Blut kostet als ich habe, die fizzled dann auch, war die Aktion dann erfolgreich? (Für z.b Perfectionist?)

Sogar ausdrücklich: Nur dann, wenn die Aktion erfolgreich war, musst du ihre Kosten bezahlen - und dann erst wird geprüft, ob du das überhaupt kannst.
Dein Vampir muss dann ja sogar so viel Blut burnen, wie er kann, bevor die Aktion dann fizzled. Das würde ja erst gar nicht passieren, wenn die Aktion von vorneherein unsuccessful wäre.

Eine nicht auf den ersten Blick intuitive Sache, aber ich denke, das ist exakt das, was in den Regeln steht....

Was ich mich dann immer frage ist kann ich die Aktion ansagen obwohl ich kein Blut habe.
Also z.B. ein Govern ohne Blut spielen und dann die Aktion fizzeln lassen um z.B. dann ein Blut vom Perfektionisten zu erhalten

Du kannst keine Karten spielen, wenn du sie von vornherein nicht zahlen kannst.
Das Regelbuch schreibt unter "Playing Cards and other Effects" (Punkt B.2.)

You cannot play a card or use an effect whose cost cannot be paid.

Wird zu irgendeinem Zeitpunkt währed ser Aktion nochmal gecheckt, ob das am Anfang deklarierte Ziel immer noch legal ist? Ich hab da nichts drüber gefunden.

Diese Antwort gab Pascal Ben. Also ja, nachdem der Block nicht geklappt hat, wird die Action resolved (Denglish forever) und fizzled (dito), wenn die Voraussetzungen für die Aktion nicht mehr gegeben sind.

Playing Cards:

You cannot play a card whose cost cannot be paid. If, between the time a action card is played (or an action is attempted) and the time the cost of the action is paid, you no longer can pay the cost, then you pay as much as you can and the card is burned without effect (or the action has no effect). Dann ist Zephyr, wie ich es befürchtet habe, doch ne ziemliche Wallpaper-Karte ...

Und wieso dann die Formulierung "unsuccessful"? Dann hätte man auch direkt schreiben können "was blocked"

Siehe die Ausführungen von Floppy, die Rudolf oben wiedergegeben hat:
Es gibt auch unsuccessful actions, die nicht geblockt wurden, sondern die wegen Card Text unsuccessful sind...

Oder sie sind geblockt und trotzdem succesful nach einem "...continue action as if unblocked"

Ok, macht die Karte dennoch nicht wirklich besser .....

Probier die ruhig mal in einem Rushdeck aus. Du kommst nicht an deinem gewünschten Ziel deines Rushes an, weil du geblockt wurdest? Hau den Blocker in die Tonne und rush danach nochmal. Das finde ich nicht so schlecht.
